Oven Baked Rigatoni Pasta Noodles

A traditional Sunday's pasta dish!

As far as I can remember in my childhood at my "nonni's" house, on Sunday for lunch, we had "Pasta al Forno" (Oven Bake Pasta) at least half of the year!

I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!

Here is the recipe for 4 people!

ground beef (you can use a mix of pork and beef if you like): 18 oz. (little over a pound)

peas: 4 oz.

1 medium carrot

half medium size onion

3 tbsp olive oil

3 or 4 hardboiled eggs (it's ok if you don't want to put it)

about 20 thin slices of eggplant (lightly fried)

mozzarella cheese: 10 oz.

thin sliced ham: 4 oz.

tomato sauce: 16 oz

grated pecorino cheese: 2 oz (if you prefer parmesan cheese it's fine!)

black pepper and salt to taste

fresh parsley

Remember that Oven Baked Pasta is basically an household recipe. Some of them are just phenomenal others less. So you can really play around with ingredients as long you cover the basics.
